Suzette LinWith corporate and business experience in USA, China and Taiwan, Suzette S. Lin is a highly credentialed attorney, specialising in corporate securities and general business law.

She received her law degree with honours from the University of San Francisco. She also has graduate degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School in Public Administration and the University of Hong Kong (with distinction) in International Public Affairs. She held visiting fellowships at Harvard University and at University of California – Hastings College of the Law.

Prior to founding Substantia Law Group, Ms. Lin worked at a major Silicon Valley law firm and advised entrepreneurs both in the U.S. and in Asia. She also served as General Counsel for two startup ventures in Beijing. During her tenure at Oak Pacific Interactive (holding company for Renren.com, a NYSE listed company), she led the in-house team to successfully close two rounds of financing reaching $340 million.

In addition to her corporate law practice, Ms. Lin has been active in numerous nonprofit and community organizations. She began her legal advocacy and philanthropy work in the Bay Area, where she was engaged in cases involving health access, disability rights, LGBT and domestic violence. For nearly a decade, she served as consultant to several local and international nonprofit organizations in Beijing. She is currently a board member of Disability Rights California, the largest disability advocacy agency in the country.

She is a native speaker of English and Chinese, including several dialects.
